43MPG in stock toyota Corolla

I was Hypermiling my dads Corolla 43MPG stock. 4 speed auto.. tires at 42 psi... it only took 3.5 gallons to go 150 miles roundtrip.... engine on A/C off (A/C on low on the return )
pretty sweet it only cost me less then 11$ ( commuter train was 10$ "day pass" for a 2.3 hour trip each way)
2013 Corolla is rated at 34mpg highway..

it's the same route i get 26-27 with the Tahoe hybrid.

Did you use the same techniques/driving style as you do in the Tahoe? Or just conscious cruise control useage?

I had a rental Corolla a few years back, with a CVT. Might have been a 2015 or 2016. I want to say that, keeping speeds at 50-55mph, I was able to get close to 60mpg out of it.
