Done yet?

You guys who live north of the Mason-Dixon line...
are you done with winter weather yet?

Forwarded emails are stupid 99.95% of the time but this one made me smile.
Just substitute the name of your own state...

COLD IS A RELATIVE THING. .

65 above zero:
Floridians turn on the heat.
People in Indiana plant gardens.

60 above zero:
Californians shiver uncontrollably.
People in Indiana sunbathe.

50 above zero:
Italian & English cars won't start.
People in Indiana drive with the windows down..

40 above zero:
Georgians don coats, thermal underwear, gloves, wool hats.
People in Indiana throw on a flannel shirt.

35 above zero:
New York landlords finally turn up the heat.
People in Indiana have the last cookout before it gets cold.

20 above Zero
People in Miami all die.
Hoosiers close the windows.

Zero:
Texans fly away to Mexico .
People in Indiana get out their winter coats.

10 below zero:
Hollywood disintegrates.
The Girl Scouts in Indiana are selling cookies door to door.

20 below zero:
Washington DC runs out of hot air.
People in Indiana let the dogs sleep indoors.

30 below zero:
Santa Claus abandons the North Pole.
Hoosiers get upset because they can't start the Snow-mobile.

40 below zero :
ALL atomic motion stops .
People in Indiana start saying...
'Cold enough for ya?'

50 below zero:
Hell freezes over.
Indiana public schools will open 2 hours late

Wait, why does the story stops at 50 below? The glacier is still pretty thick in Cantartica.

Snowing like crazy here right now. Sometimes we get an early Spring tease, but I never start believing winter is over here until May. I usually tell the kids that Santa Claus is probably going to end up delivering the Easter baskets. Even so, we have had snowfall in the middle of May quite a few times. Some wooded areas still have snow in June. And being next to the big lakes, the weather changes so fast it can go from one extreme to the next within hours.

Frank, you lucky ....

Nice list, TC. Winter is a state of mind. I declared winter over about two weeks ago (OK, I started saying "the worst is behind us" to anyone who would listen.)

I've been out several times without my winter coat.

And statistically, the average daytime high here has been above freezing for a couple of weeks now.

Supposed to be unusually nice on Friday: +9C and sunny. Spring conditions for snowboarding!

Hit 40F today after being below freezing with high winds the last couple days. Two weeks ago we had two days of 60F+ and it was amazing; I had bronchitis so I couldn't get out to enjoy it much. Then mother nature decided to be a &*&^* and took the warm away as soon as I felt better.

Done. With. Winter.

I am sick of snow. The weather channels are all bragging about the snowiest winter season record about to be broke, but frankly, I don't care anymore.

Sorry Johnny, but I've always loved the snow. Skitching, skiing, sledding, skating, and sliding around the corners, it's all good I would definately miss it.
