Hey just wanted to drop my encouragement to the OP on this project. It looks like it can be really really cool; may lots of good luck and dollar bills rain down on you!

I think a prius like that could end up getting 200 mpg, if we let some guys from CleanMPG drive it. 150ish mpg in an insight could definitely become 200mpg in the Aero Dream Prius.

Hi Sulfuric,

I doubt that highly. But what it would do is allow the Prius to get the same mileage as it gets stock at 53 mph, up near 60 mph. Which is about 70 mpg...

On a test course around a rural city, some drivers got 150+mpg in a Honda Insight.
I think an aeromodded prius with a cd of less than .2 could get at least that.

Looks a great project! If you can beat my current 130mpg with a stock body but a DIY Plug in conversion I'll be taking my hat off!

Well done! I hope it gets made! (Although I think the front end would need some work)

Ha! I recognize that username from the EVDL and your site. Welcome to EcoModder, Nikki. Your DIY plug-in conversion on "Velma" (Prius) is quite a project - congrats.

Feel like starting a thread to introduce people to her?

cheers- Darin (ForkenSwift beer budget NEV)

Hey Darin!

Well, as a beer-budget PHEV owner, I think I will!

I'm on lunch break now and have to go soon, but will try and do a post later!

Nikki (I guess my mods are notorious now eh?)

Yes- notorious! I followed the electric banana escapades too. I think you were also one of the first EV DIY types to make use of YouTube to post decent videos.
