Dual lock vs Velcro for wheel covers

I know this isn't technically aero discussion, but this seemed like the best place for it.

Has anyone tried Dual lock yet? It's the stuff they use on the back of the iPass/EZ Pass. It's more expensive and thicker than velcro but you can get it weatherproof and it's ridiculously strong.



Did some looking and the best deal seems to be $40 for 18 feet of it. By my calculations that's about 3 cars worth.

I'm interested how much weatherproof velcro costs by comparison, and what people's experiences were with it. I know a couple people on here have tried it.
