thats what i use at work[i detail cars] or adhesive remover like goo-gone. Don't use Lacquer thinner unless you plan to wax the paint

Pretty much any tape will leave residue if it is left on long enough and exposed to the environment. Has anyone had actual paint damage from using duct tape, though? That is my biggest concern...especially on my aging, UV-damaged paint...

Yeah, the blue stuff usually guarantees no residue if removed in under 3 days. The really wide stuff is the only thing that will resist the wind, but not too much weight load.. Water is another issue.

Do what kevlar said, or try that natural orange gell gum remover.

As far as grill blocks go, I always used zip ties.

just saturate it in bug remover or something similar, or mineral spirits. I'd still wash and wax the place when I was done (Good thing everything I duct tape is paintless )

Acetone removes the residue in my experience. It's a non-polar solvent so it will remove stuff water doesn't remove at all. Try to get the most pure stuff you can find since it's miscible in water and they tend to dilute it for purposes such as paint thinning.

I second the duct tape motion
and re-iterate about getting the good stuff
The front of my Geo is all duct tape (has been for some months now)
I have cut a hole in it for air flow due to heating probs so I say it is good for experimenting with. I will leave mine on through the summer to see how big I gotta make the breather hole and then my plan was to replace the front bumper anyway(mine is torn to shreds)
