Got It.... kinda. After researching for hours and hours. I found a site that says "F the contrast pin just hook it up to ground". It works perfectly in this configuration. Could I tell the code to do this (or something similiar). Or is this already how the code is set up and my Arduino is stupid? I would like to take advantage of the variable contrast but will keep it wired up to ground if I have to... would that hurt anything?
