DV - Carb & Ignition Eco-tuning Made Easy

David Vizard starts out with a nice write up done on how to tune a carburator for best fuel economy. He also explains how to time the engine for best economy.

I don't necessarily agree with his ideas about leaning out as far as possible as this can significantly raise NOx emissions, but it will get you better fuel economy.

very lean is good if you have another something to go with it. water for lean can even make old sloppy v8s hit the 30s. Nox emissions is rather bizarre to focus on. the atmosphere is mostly this...to return a chemistry back to it is the smartest way to go.

i'm pretty sure the atmosphere is something like 74% Nitrogen (N2), where as Nitrous Oxides are an entirely different animal which cause a lot of pollution and, if im not mistaken, are one of the main causes behind acid rain...so it is kind of important.
