It's that time again!

Notable this year:

• the 2nd year in a row that the top project was about sticking a Prius drivetrain/chassis into a classic vehicle.
• many varied projects, from e-bikes to tractor trailers
• some interesting "lounge" discussions made the top 25 (are ecomodders good at managing money?)
• Photobucket sure pissed off a lot of people (I wonder if it was worth it to them)
• Two Miatas in the top 25... what's going on? (Self-plug!)

I always wonder how some of these threads make it to this list and I've never read them...

In any case, thanks for posting it. Now I get to read some more cool stuff I missed!

At least one of these threads did not even sound familiar to me!

Some years ago it would sound very unlikely to happen, but it seems to br on its way to become more frequent. Makes me wonder what would be the next old iron to be retrofitted with hybrid guts, even if that would be anything other than the Prius.

I think the next phase will be old iron retrofitted with EV or PHEV drivetrains/chassis.

Who knows... But anyway, with so many plug-in hybrids now available, from compacts to full-size SUVs (considering the Volvo XC90 as a full-size, since its present generation is roughly as large as a Chevy Tahoe), probably it'll become just a matter of time for hybrid drivetrains to become nearly as popular for swaps as the small-block Chevy V8.

I'm just happy that MPGuino made it as a top-25 thread.

There are a lot of other interesting things here I gotta catch up on, too.

Someone, somewhere, is plotting to put a flathead into a Prius. Because that's how they are.

No! A 426 Hemi.

Not in a Prius, but sometimes I lurk about fitting a flathead into some modern econobox.
