ECOmove QBEAK

Some up to date information on ECOmove's QBEAK:

Cool features (in my opinion) are the in-wheel electric motors, that give it 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel regenerative braking. This could also have full traction control. And the battery pack is where it should be -- in the floor; with optional number of modules. The center driving position (looks familiar?) allows much better crash protection for the driver, particularly in an offset head on crash.

Presumably the large panel gaps are because this is a prototype? It fits 3 people in a car smaller than a Smart. The seating layout is similar to the Murray T25 / T27, but they seem to be quite different otherwise. The hub motors and some aspects of the design, remind me of the River Simple hydrogen car.

Steering wheel ... ick! Body ... meh. Chassis ... brilliant! Could do quite a bit with that chassis; it could be worth them selling it separate to different component car companies who can put different bodies on it.

Yeah, the steering wheel is over-wrought.

That seems to be their idea

Back to the days of car companies making the mechanical drive train, and coachbuilders the car body.
