Really sad about this tank... It is halfway gone and my mpg is 42.5 for a tank average extensive idle time due to a lean condition coupled with only one trip above 45 and a tropical storm has shredded me alive.

I don't have the kill switch yet. I'm trying to figure out how one will work with my automatic.

Dirtydave, I ended up with 44.1

I have been battling a lean condition this tank. It turns out that I was sold 17 lb. Injectors instead of 19 lb. It is fine for just cruising, but when pulsing, the fuel trims go to +15-20, which is 16.9-17.7 AFR! I have PMed the guy and am waiting to hear back.

The car passed 270,000 miles still going strong!

I am going to work on more aero mods the next couple days. Front fender gap fillers and wheel splats are on the menu!

What happens when you kill the injectors and leave it in D ??

I did that the other day, shifted to 5th and hit the kill switch. It was weird but nothing fell off the car.

My car automatically does this with DFCO. There is engine braking of course, but with an injector switch overriding the ECU's DFCO, it would be possible to floor it and do away with the rapid deceleration.

My only hesitation is having to keep using the ignition to crank back up. I can't bumpstart with the auto

Careful - check the instructions for towing before you cruise with the engine off. If it says it must be loaded onto a trailer or the driving wheels must be lifted then you shouldn't cruise with the engine off - something to do with the gearbox fluid being pumped by the engine ?

Why you gotta be such a spoil sport? Lol!

The automatic ZX2 should not be flat towed, per Ford Manufacturing Company.

However...

I am yet to see any damage or funkiness from the transmission with the EOC that I have done. I know that does not mean there is not any. In fact, the ATX will probably splatter this week for me typing this

The sooner it goes, the sooner I can swap in a manual transmission I can get a ZX2 with a blown motor and good tranny for around $500, give or take. Then swap the auto into the other car, sell it and come out cheap
