Thanks, that makes it worse. I'd have gotten at least a couple years out of that thing... If they'd posted it last fall. Although my wife would have been a bit concerned about ditching a nearly 9 year old car for a nearly 18 year old car. "But honey, it's got 30,000 fewer miles on it!"

I love my Fit, but I would have grabbed this one.

Ah, I miss my Paseo...

EPA is only 24/27/31, but thats ridiculously easy to beat the pants off of.

1993 Toyota Paseo - $800

Quote:
I am selling a 1993 Toyota Paseo 5 speed manual with about 200k miles on it. It gets great gas mileage, 35-38 mpg in the warmer months (drops to about 30 in the winter). The car runs and drives great, last winter it started every time. The car is in decent shape though it does have some rust in the typical areas. It burns some oil so it needs to get topped off everytime you fill up the tank or so. The two rear tires might need to be replaced somewhat soon for better traction in the winter, though they are not bald. It also has a wheel bearing that is going bad that will most likely need to be fixed in the near future. If you are interested and would like more info, you can send me a text or an email.

special request for people including pics...

Please don't just LINK to the pics of the cars... the photos disappear when the ads are removed! And the pics are a big part of what makes this thread fun to follow.

Instead, grab the photo URL and use the "Upload File from a URL" option as an attachment.

Gracias!

Someone who knows about the winter MPG hit... That tells me they actually paid attention to their mileage.

Okay, so it's only EPA rated for 34 mpg (US) highway.

27 City
30 Combined
34 Highway

But if I were in the market, I'd definitely go look at it.

You know, I had no idea what to put an old Cavalier up for sale for, especially one with 44k KMs (26k miles). So I went with under $1500 because the body is pretty rough dent wise. So some shameless self promotion here, but man I thought I wrote a pretty honest ad for the thing, and Tim our saleskid hasn't had a single call on it! If I had to pick any car from my fleet to get in and drive to Texas in tomorrow, it'd be this thing! If someone here wants it it's cheaper than that, but I find it hard to believe that there isn't at least one Cavalier hoarder in Canada that saw that ad and didn't say "I gotta have it!!" haha.

^ That's setting the bar too low! (Automatic).

War_Wagon: keep us posted on what happens.

Here's a potentially good one from a nearby dealer's boneyard. My '07 Civic came from such a boneyard, so I'm not averse to checking these out...

Looks like a good deal to me. Would probably need the obligatory control arm mount work of course.
