Electric/hybrid dune buggy?

Anybody built one? Seems like they could go pretty far/fast (accel) with a 1000 lb curb weight.....esp. if you live in a small town where you don't have to go very far, or here in Los Angeles, where you're lucky if you hit 45mph on the freeways

Never built one but I WANT. I saw a vehicle that didn't have any body panels and having a tubular frame on the highway a couple of weeks ago... dune buggy-type vehicle. It was a mid-engine ICE powered job, like what you'd find on a go-kart, but (and this is going the other way on a divided highway) it looked like a V6 engine. But I did have some passing thoughts about an EV application.

Was it one of these you saw by chance? If I remember right they were going to us a Chevy V6 in the US version.

There was going to be an electric one of those. Brammo, the company that imports them to the US built an electric one but Ariel wanted very high royalty rates for it, so Brammo never sold it

Anyways, and ev dune buggy would be very easy to make. Just take a vw dune buggy and put in a vw electric conversion.
