Electric Turbocharger/Supercharger?

UNIVERSAL ELECTRIC SUPERCHARGER TURBO BOOST

Someone tell me something about this.

I had my darling Chevy Sprint Turbo that I unfortunately had to get rid of for money, but I swear my best tank was 52-58 mpg. Ford turbocharges their engines now and calls it Ecoboost. It was the greatest thing I had ever driven. It was heartbreaking to let go of it. So what is this contraption about?

That "Electric supercharger turbo boost" is just an electric fan. A glorified computer fan. It's running on 12v at 3amp. It consume 36watts. Dont expect this to have any effect on an engine. It will not be able to compress air more than 1mm of water. It's a lost of money.

I wonder if it could actually impede air flow and some suggest cheap fans breaking, with pieces being pulled inside.

My turbo chargers use up to 40 horsepower or about 30Kw to compress the air and feed it into the engine.
36 watts isn't going to do anything other than provide a restriction.

Yes, but we agree that this one--and most--are.

I wouldn't consider it a unicorn topic considering the potential. I understand few here would agree with that opinion. You need the additional power very rarely as a percentage of total operational time.
