I was laughing so hard my dog looked at me as if to ask, "should I call 911 or not?"

I disagree too.

But of all the 65+ mods, I'd start with instrumentation first, since modifying your driving style will net you the quickest, potentially largest savings.

Also, you probably already figured this out, but if you're calculating your fuel consumption in "MPG", you'll see relatively small changes in absolute, numerical terms. (Dunno if you're using L/100 km in real life, since you're a Canuck.)

Going from, say, 15 to 17 mpg in fuel savings & monetary terms is absolutely worth going after.

Well Metro I use mathematical conversions to calculate actual MPG rather than using L/100km. Yep that's what I used to use however it isn't accepted here as its an american site LOL...

And I am planning on getting a new guage, however when that is I dunno, however I've already modified the nut behind the wheel. (Frankly I think everyone that gets a new vehicle should have to drive 20clicks on black ice to adjust their driving habits. I didn't realise just how much more power etc this vehicle used than my old one and that was a wake up call as to my lead footed ness...) Also I removed the cross bars from the roof rack, was going to remove the whole thing but the friggen screws wouldn't come off...

I'd suggest continuing to adjust the nut behind the wheel. I know I'm always tweaking things here or there to see if it increases my FE. Your current fuel log shows you at ~4% above the 2008 EPA rating. General conservative driving should get you at least 20% above 2008 EPA. If you think you are really already at that point, I'd look at the vehicle to see if there is any maintenance issues with it that may be reducing your mileage.

Oh, and do a block heater too. That'll make a noticeable difference in your winter fuel economy.
