I get a similar experience in the mountains. Different elevations experience the seasons at different times. In the valley, cherry trees and daffodils blossom in March. A month later, there are blooms at 1,000 ft. In May, flowers appear at 1,500 ft. It might be as late as August before you see Indian Paintbrush blossoms above 6,000 ft.

= 108 mph. A fairly respectable breeze over the ridges hereabouts. Only doing 50-60 mph this morning, but will probably pick up a bit going into the weekend: WRCC - DRI Slide Mountain Weather Station


PS: And light snow flurries today (5/20) down here in the valley. Sticking above ~7500 ft.
