EV Expo 2008 in Ottawa

I see that there is going to be an EV expo in Ottawa, May 31st, 2008. I was wondering if anyone was going and if anyone knows what homebuilts are going to be there. It is a 5 hour drive for me so I am trying to figure out if it is worth the drive. Mainly I am interested in talking to people who have done a conversion.

Thanks

Peter

Heynow - where do you live again? (This is Peter, right? GTA?)

I'll be there. As far as conversions, there will be a small selection: ForkenSwift, professional Jetta conversion, 914 conversion, Ford Ranger, possibly a Dutton kit car (similar to Lotus 7). There may be a pair of serial hybrids: Chevy Cavalier & Miata biodiesel (both with trunk mounted gensets). Also a pair of Solectria Force sedans, various home built & professional e-bikes and a super sexy Go-One with electric assist.

If you're in the GTA, I'd suggest talking to the Durham EV Association - much closer!

Yea it's Peter. I could make a little trip out of it, go for the weekend. I'm not just looking for conversion advice, I would like to look at a few finished cars, mainly for my own interest. I don't mind the drive so much, I have a diesel RV that gets 15MPG and if the weather is warm, I can mix it 50/50 with WVO so I can get about 30 MPG for the trip!

That's only a 15 hour drive for me! Too bad I am working that weekend! Otherwise, I would throw the cycle in the truck and go!
