Actually, I was referring to a pusher. Cheap, easy to build. You could probably use a vacuum motor for that, but then you'd either have to use an inverter or run it corded.

I could run it off batteries w/o an inverter as well... Get 6v lantern batteries and series 20 of them.

What I actually meant about e-mower conversions was to build e-powered riding lawn mowers, and build them from recycled stuff so that they can compete with the cost of a decent used mower.

That's a great idea. My dad has a rider. It's a noisy belt-driven smelly pile of junk, and an EV conversion would make it better than new.

Probably smells as bad as a riding mower too, though still not as bad as Oprah, I'd imagine.
