False hope

It may be, or it may not be, but my most recent tank was as good as my last summer tank, which comprises the first entry on the 'Mule's fuel listing.

By my calculations, I'm averaging <0.25gal/hr fuel consumption. (My trip is roughly 45 minutes, and slightly under 13 miles, yay traffic). This with nearly bald tires, a drive belt that is FAR past it's replacement interval, and severely compromised aerodynamics. I also attribute part of my gain for this most recent tank to reinstating my cruise control, AKA the rubber O-ring on the throttle. So much easier on the right hand on those long stretches where I cruise at a steady speed.

Also adjusted the valves when I put the cruise back on, so that may have helped. And the radiator block has yet to be removed, so a few days there I was running a WAI after the engine got hot.
