A Few MPGuino Questions

I'd like to build one. These questions are probably all answered somewhere, but there is a lot of material to sift through in here.

1. The thread with instructions calls it "build one", so I just wanted to be clear. Are those instructions ready to go?

2. The link for a Freeduino is out of stock and they recommend a 2.0 kit. If I buy that instead, are all the other instructions the same? Or do they need to be adapted to the new board?

3. I'm completely unfamiliar with duino. How will I copy and paste the program from the internet into the board? Does it connect to my computer with USB or something?

4. Am I going to find the other parts (2 5.1v zener diodes, 1 2n3906 PNP Transistor, 1 220 ohm resistor, 2 100k resistors, 3 tactile switches) at any decent Radio Shack?

Could someone please link to the thread? Im in the same boat, Id really love to build one since all my cars are OBDI but Im totally lost when it comes to fancy electronics and flashing chips. I can solder pretty well and can do relay logic, but thats about it. I have done quite a bit of programming on a TI85 calculator, and lisp programming for Autocad, but this is probably quite a bit different. And Ive never flashed a chip before. I learn fast though.

MPGuino release one workspace

With the iduino all you need to do is open the code in arduino 11 and hit upload, no big deal,

The freeduino 2.0 works great.

I bought one of each version because the 2.0 is said to upload more reliably.

And all of the work is exactly the same just as if the 2.0 that I'll buy was a 1.0?

Is anyone using a different computer than the one called for in the DIY page? The one in the link AND the 2.0 that replaces it are unavailable.

I updated the MPGuino thread so it has an iDuino wiring diagram also. I know a few people are using that these days.

Does the iduino version use the same software program?
