Fiberglass fairings
Fairing construction begins this week.Photo-enlargements of strut sections will be glued to cedar,cut to size with band-saw,glued and screwed to form skeleton.Styrofoam will be glued to skeleton,air sanded to shape,coated with polyurethane spar varnish,then coated with body filler for sanding to final shape,then one layer of fiberglass cloth and polyester resin.--------- Later these fairings can be used as "plugs" to create a plaster splash from which composite parts can be cast.
