Finally, BRAMMO Enertia's for purchase

Surely a lot of people have heard of the BRAMMO Enertia and now it's finally on sale at the online store.

BRAMMO Enertia powercycle : 100% Electric Motorcycle : Check Location

I say finally but in a way it doesn't seem like it's been that long of a wait. Only when I look back to when I first heard about it does it seem so. Anyway, I started to put this in the EV section but decided it was probably better off here.

Wow, that looks really nice. 13kWh pack good for 42 miles though? Ehhh, I dunno about that.

What kind of Wh per mile do most motorcycles see?

I've been interested in this bike since the first time i saw it. I am still wondering why they don't produce a faired bike that is more aerodynamic.... Its a very pricey machine as well.

Well, my Ninja 250 gets 100mpg. That converts to 366Wh/mile. For 42 miles, it would be 15kWh.

They are claiming it is 5 times more efficient than a toyota prius. If that's true, given the prius gets around 50mpg out of the box with a normal driver, lets say this bike gets an equivalent 250mpg. That coverts to 146Wh/mile. For 42 miles, it should only need about 7kWh.

Yeah, I'm not sure if the range will work for a lot of people. I'd still love to ride one though!

In order of preference:

Graphite Silver

White Noise

Glacial Blue.

I'd actually prefer a nice Cool Cobalt (see glidden paints color chart), but you can't have it all, I guess.

EDIT: For 12,000 USD - I better have it all.

I'm a little late to this party, but that bike is sweet. I could plug it in while at work and only have to pay for half my "fuel" expense.

Hmm, I'm envisioning a 3 wheeler rocket car type conversion for all weather travel in comfort...added aero to offset added weight...hrm...the brain wheels they are a spinnin!

The Enertia has just 3.1kWh battery pack.

The Empulse on the other hand will go much farther -- I think the largest battery pack goes about 100 miles?

Yeah, the Empulse is the one to get. I just can't seem to figure if the range is realistic, or how it would translate to my commute (3200' elevation change, 55 miles each way, 60mph sustained speed)

They have the;
6.0 (60 miles, roughly $10k)
8.0 (80 miles, roughly $12k)
10.0 (100 miles, roughly $14k)

And between California and Federal tax incentives, I think you can total a $2500 rebate for buying one
