I owned a Honda VX in the early 90's that routinely got 55 mpg. However on one trip to Red River, NM traveling around on a mountain plateau above 10,000 ft of elevation we pulled a 66 mpg figure. This kind of shows what aerodynamics could do for the car because of the reduced drag in this instance.

Cool. Reduced aero drag on the outside, reduced drag on the inside! (Reduced engine pumping losses operating at high altitude.)
