kumho isn't exactly "some chinese crap". Firstly they are a Korean company. Secondly, they make the tires that I use on my race car. Their Ecsta V700, V70A and V710 tires are in the same league as Hoosier racing tires. Take a little confidence in their well-known racing history.

Sure, they make some great high performance tires, but it isn't a set of those I have on my car right now. These were $58 a corner and made in China.

But they take reasonably high pressure and, aside from a little disappointment in the lack of sidewall rigidity, I'm perfectly happy with them.

Looks good, give the tyres a few miles to bed in before worrying about the handling to much.
Rolling resistance isn't all about super hard tyres, it is a very involved science and the degree of contoring the tread does can greatly influence RR. I was into HPV's and tyres are a big factor and cause much debate, I have experienced lowering the psi to make them roll better in the real world.
