First Gen Insight Transmission Question

The newest twin has a noisy input shaft bearing in the transmission. I was worried that it would be a big deal to re & re the trans due to the electric motor etc. However, a mechanic friend of mine looked up the labour time and said that is books out at 4 hours, which doesn't seem bad at all. I have done a trans re & re on a normal Civic before, can anyone tell me if doing the same job on an Insight is similar in difficulty? Or do I have to start removing hybrid bits to get at things?

I suggest do some searches on the Insight Central: Honda Insight Forum forum the issue has been discussed extensively and there are several threads devoted to it. Search for Input shaft bearing and ISB using the google serach on the site.
