Cool First longer trip with Scangauge

Today I did my first longer trip since I got my Scangauge a few days ago. And I must say I was quite happy with the results! The trip was just over 2 hours (120 miles roundtrip) and about 3/4 of it on the highway. Despite the fact that I have not made any mods to the car yet (I haven't even gotten around to increasing the tire pressure - shame on me!) and that I was using the AC most of the way (humidity here was killer today) I still managed an average 35.4 mpg in a car that rarely ever got above 27/28 before. Scangauge FTW!

And... you just discovered why some people call it a "game gauge".

Hope you're having fun with it.

Looks like you should be reporting over EPA figures on your next fillup...congrats! Your first tank was just under EPA so that's a great baseline to reference now that you have your SGII and will be refining your driving skills (in addition to any mods you do to the car). It's fun to see your fuel log graph climb with each tank...good luck!

Game gauge indeed!

I've been working on the car over the past week and am about halfway through this tank and I have a few more trips coming up in preparation for university to start on Monday. I'm working to finish the first round of modding before then, so I will be posting an update sometime this weekend.
