Thumbs up First Milestone Passed !!

Hey All,

Fillup this AM - and I find that I have just past my first "Internal" milestone.
30 MPG on a "Commute tank" - this was ALL commute to work and back.

30.5 MPG to be more accurate.
Changes to date are "Nut behind the wheel" changes -
- Tire pressure to sidewall.
- EOC / No idling
- Wiser parking choices

Has me totally psyched !! With the scangage on order - I can ensure I stay above that level and work on the next Milestone.
I am thinking step up to 35 MPG on a commute tank - that would be 150% EPA Rated.

Thanks to all you guys and gals for the tips / advice.

ECOMODDERS RULE !!!!

Nicely done, if I had more city we could go head to head but I am probably 80-85% highway driving. I have been constantly getting 30-33 with my personal best being 35.66.

Tomorrow will be another historic day, I am switching over to Mobil 1 Synthetic and also going with new Nokian i3 tires. I currently have 195/65 but am going to a 205/60 stock tire. All I have left is ATF switch to Synthetic and a coolant flush.

It's on like Donkey Kong... :-)

Great job! My goal is 40. I'm hoping I'll reach this tank; last one came up short.

and with the scangage - i am able to actually "See" my Mileage numbers. Still on 1st tank with it so have not adjusted it.
So far just logging data and taking the numbers as "relative" to eachother.

Congratulations! I'm also shooting for a Milestone of 45mpg (Though I drive a TOY!). This is my first tank using scangage though I don't think it's working. Its telling me I get better mpg not using the hiway. So I found a route to work that has no lights & no highway and when I got here it said I got 49mpg. Has anyone else had prolems with scangage reporting wrong mpg? I have set the the engine size, fuel cutoff, & tank size. Can this be right?
