Free Engine Block Heater

I looked under the hood today to check the oil level. While I was doing that I saw a bundle of cables with a plug at the end.
My Focus came with a free EBH SWEET!!

Sweet indeed! Just follow the cable to make sure before you plug it in. While i was shopping for a car i looked at another diesel yaris and there was what looked like a laptop power supply tucked in beside the radiator, complete with plug. I never did find out what it was for, but i doubt it was a heater. I get the feeling i'm the only one in Ireland at this game. Maybe it was a battery charger?

I'm hoping it's not a battery charger. But I followed the cord and it went to the engine.
