Upper Grill Block EP3

So I saw the idea of grill blocks with the really thin cutting boards, well I couldn't source any locally. So I went to the dollar store, and scored something else. A plastic basket. I bought two just in case I messed up, but here is what I did.

Started with the basket

I then cut a single cut down the middle

After that I cut the bottom of the basket out giving me a huge sheet of very flexible plastic that I could draw on using my template I made out of cardboard.

Cut it out and ended up with a good product only blue time to paint it up.

On my cardboard template I marked spots where it would be good to support the block with zip ties I did three ties on the top and two on the bottom on each side of the Honda Emblem, ten ties total. You can see the holes in the picture above.

I removed the top four clips that holds the top of the bumper on to get access to the upper grill. You will also need to remove the hood lever which is three 10mm bolts. Easiest way to get that off is with a matching box end wrench. The bottom bolt is kind of a pain to get to. After that slip the cover in and zip tie it up, and you get this end product.
