Supersonic is definitely not viable for most commercial routes. Not just the engine inlet must have an adjustable cowl in order to get optimized for both subsonic and supersonic air flow, while the internal flow is always subsonic, fuel costs alone represent around 40% of the operating cost of an aircraft.

The first one has nice surface finish, but un-aerodynamic hard edges.

At the second link NoScript blocks 61 javascripts. Temporarily allow something called skimresources.com? I think not.

Try this

https://carbiketech.com/solarmobil-solar-car-project/

SERVe: An amazing solar car designed by Indian students - Rediff.com Business

Driver could be in a lower angle, and the car less weight and more aerodynamic. But it's a good idea. Low price, eco friend.

Opera boasts they are the only major browser that blocks bitmining. My friend says every smart user has javascript turned off by default. Somehow I clicked on the wrong thing and it seems some script all but froze my computer on Monday. I kept closing Chrome, reopening it, and going through my tabs in the second or two before it became unusable. I finally found a red page claiming my accounts were at risk, blah blah blah. Once I closed that everything worked fine.

I just do not have any idea how to turn off Javascript on the school's computer. I cannot even approve system updates!

Pants around their ankles? Sounds like bureaucrats.

All Darc — Thanks. Imagine what possibilities would open up with hexagonal solar cells.

New possible use of laser for carbon fiber. If I understand well it's not for shapping but to produce the fibers itself :

Almost the half of these costs can be traced back to the two-step heat treatment (stabilization and carbonization) of the carbonaceous precursor fibers (mostly out of polyacrylonitrile, PAN) into carbon fibers. This is due to the long duration in the furnace (up to two hours) as well as the high energy costs (temperatures up to 1,500 °C), which are necessary for the heat treatment.
It appears you are correct. Compare the energy required to melting basalt at similar temperatures and extruding it through a die — one quick step to IMHO a superior product.

This Mercedes is broking the law... Law of fluid-dynamic ?

https://news.mongabay.com/2005/07/de...sh-body-shape/

The tails ends in 90 degree and not like a slin tail. The front looks huge and a bit squared (despite curved edges). I just don't look aerodynamic.

Honestly, the fish it's not the same shape of the car. But if it really have drag coefficient of 0,095 (really ????) with wheels... it's nice. But what about the CDA ?

Fish shape vs car shape. Not really look like for me :

Objekt:Kofferfisch. 'Box/fish' describes the two qualities being reconciled.

Think of it as the Morelli shape with a nose and forehead.

Do you know how they made the vertical bars in that last picture? Hint: the picture is upside down.

This blue model it's not the final model, despite look very like looking by this photo angle. Top angle would show the final model looke d more squares in width direction, while the blue clay model it's more curved, specially in the tail.
The final car have 0,19 and no 0,097 CD

The vertical bar was made with smoke/gas balls, that became vertical in the wind tunel.
