Ok, this is confusing, first run on the way to town (with 147lbs of weights added) 57.7mpg, no way that's right.
Second run after town trip (car warm) 63.3mpg.
My guess is that the higher 62.5mpg 'with' number is from a short warmup time (sorry, mom insists) and the lower 57.7mpg 'without' number is from no warmup time.
so to approximate, lets add the 2 'withouts' together (warm car # +cold car #)=61mpg

61mpg appx. without air dam
62.5mpg with air dam
appx. 2.4% improvement with air dam

Yep, the warmup penalty hits hard, especially on the Prius.

For short trips around town I almost always take the Metro. I can EOC whenever I want and that allows me to get much better mpg on the short trips.

What about resetting the trip meter once it warmed up and you are ready to roll?

I reset the average mpg at a certain point and use the mpg number it reaches at another point, while the cruise is set 50mph, the warm up only affects the way the car runs, but it's a HUGE difference!

Long term update; my air dam got removed by a opossum, it will be replaced by a front splitter, my wheel covers won't stay on! (Me need coroplast!), and I just ordered a spoofer!

I now have my spoofer installed! Haven't tested it much yet, but seems great!
