I think that as long as it's the 3 cyl engine, the biggest difference would be between a manual tranny and an automatic. The 5spd will always get you better mileage.

4 door is about 45lbs heavier, totally worth it.

4 door is a little uglier

I would buy the 4 door if all else is equal.

The 4 door it unique and rare. As far as MPG goes, get a 3 cylinder with a manual trans.

now this guy has the geo on craigslist as a 95 but i know darn well that they didnt make a 4 door 3 cylinder hatch in 95 they went to the sedan. so how do i know the exact year by looking at the car? the vin #? or would it be in the door jam? and if its in the door jam it will give the production date i believe so how does that correspond to the actual year...??

thanks, Matt

The 1995-2000 version.................

The 1989-1994 version...........

10th digit of the VIN# will tell you the year.
