ok, Chuck is a badass! Ship him a beer from me, a 17 year vetran of the caft trades. id have pulled the tie rods, axels, and dropped the struts. The fact he worked around everything and did a thurough job speaks of skill to the spades!

I have mig welded with one inch of carpet using wet shop rags for protection and cooling the weld with compressed air. AS long as the structure is sound where the suspension and frame parts are, it should not be a problem. You have to enjoy seeing the work of a craftsman and an artist, especially those who are old fashioned and take pride in their efforts.

Ha everyone, I am still trying to find contact information on Hacksaw or his weilder to help fix a 99 metro with frame rust. Could someone have him pm me so we can discuss getting this fixed. And Happy New Year
