Well, getting better! I got avg of 37.5 mpg this week on my little contour. Still had 1/4 of a tank left but I was dying to see what the mileage was. I attribute lower mileage to rain and snow this week...got to practice ridge driving in the rain, sure had to concentrate on that...but over all I feel it was pretty good week. Things I did different this week was, pumped up the tires to 40 lbs (5 lbs over) with no real noticeable difference in ride. Also did a lot more coasting in neutral. Thinking about a kill switch since I have 6 hills I can coast down and increase/hold my speed on that are about a mile long each. Want to install a vacuum gauge if I can get to it this weekend and see what that nets me as well. Time to order parts to put together the
mpguino as well. Sure beats the 17 mpg from the suburban I was getting before!!
