I actually like that color. But it should be electric blue for posterity's sake.

I guess it's not the color, but the odd trim over the bottom of the windows and the weird wheel covers turn me off

That trim would be better as either CF or just plain color-matched, I agree.
The wheel covers are an unfortunate effect of secrecy, I surmise.

Of course, just having them painted with spokes, and no weird gray ring would be better.

Those aren't wheels.. they're plastic or something. If they were wheels, the tires would have lip-protectors on them. It's the way almost every low-profile tire is made.
The miniscule gap between the "rim" and tire's sidewall kind of gives it away.
