Aloha,

I'm super busy at my work.

I did a dumb thing and buggered a tendon on my forearm. I got an electric cordless weed eater at a garage sale, took it apart, dropped out the original battery and wired it to work with a deep cycle battery or off my Elec-trak. It works great but I did a little too much weed eating without stopping. Now when I move my wrist it feels like I'm pulling a lamp chain through a vein on my forearm.

On the egg:

Right now I am trying out running with a 12V and a 6V battery in series instead of using the charger and inverter as a power supply. It was a pain to set it up every time I went out. Works good but I can't use the headlights or they'll burn out and I have to charge the batts separately. I will probably use the DRL resistor to drop the voltage for the lights at some point. Otherwise I just drop the 6v out of the loop at night.

The Kamm back will have to wait.

hey there, I also drive a (golden) space egg and saw in another forum that you were possibly willing to give out templates of the rear end spoiler? from the email you replied to me you said this created one of the most noticeable changes in mpg so I'd want to start with that first. I'm also a machinist and good with solidworks so if you wanted help converting a file so that a machine like a plasmacam could work off of the file I could help you with that.

I support painting the "egg" orange, but then I'm biased.

Awesome thread(s)! Keep up the good work!

Why not chop the top behind the middle window? If you don't need a trunk then it's pretty easy. You could also remove and mod the rear bumper area to swing up sooner. Then the rear end will not be much longer than original. Could do mos with sheet metal like the old custom vans that had the rear door welded shut. Maybe a plexy rear window
