Got an old bike, want to start riding again

I have a 10 speed Peugeot hanging in my garage. I haven't ridden it in 15 years. It's about 20 years old.

I have thought a few times about riding but the "rams horn" racing handlebars made for an uncomfortable riding position to me 15 years ago. Now it would be worse.

Any suggestions as to the type of bicycle to get to start riding again?

Is the old Peugeot worth anything? New bikes are expensive.

simplest cheapest option is to just buy some flat handlebars.
you will probably also have to replace the brake levers.

I don't know what the market is like in Phoenix, but in CO some guys like the old 10 speeds for converting in to single speeds. It's beyond me why, but they might like an old Peugeot.

Myself, I've gotten into recumbents, and I believe it's the way to go if you like to ride, but have ever had comfort issues. They are more expensive, but good deals can be found on used ones that people tried out, but didn't take the time to learn to ride. They are different to ride, but they are much more aerodynamic, faster, and I feel, more fun. They are the ultimate eco vehicle. Check out bentrideronline.com
