Greetings from Louisiana!

Hello everyone,
I have known about your site for several months, and am just now joining. I own a Red 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab pickup truck, and my best mpg has been 17.4mpg. I haven't done any mods, except put in a K&N air filter and remove the tubing that goes from the air filter housing to the side of the truck. I am very interested in aerocaps, and I hope to build one in the near future. As far as mechanical/electrical mods, I plan on a superchips computer, cold air intake and dual exhaust. I will also probably have to change my tires in the next 10,000 miles. Any suggestions on how to improve fuel economy by modifications are appreciated. My goal for this truck is to get at least 20mpg one day. I love the site, and have found it helpful already in that I have changed my driving style quite a bit. When I first bought my truck 2 years ago, I was getting 14.5-15.6mpg. now I pretty much always get over 17mpg, unless I am towing.
I look forward to learning a lot more about ecomodding here!

Welcome to EM. Sounds like you're doing pretty well to get 17 mpg consistently with your rig.
