If I wasn't on the computer, or working on my pet projects, I'd be driving. By wasting time, I'm saving the planet!! :P

I've been mostly TV-free for about a decade now, but I'm slowly increasing my television intake with the rise of on-demand and ad-free programming from Hulu and the like.

I know, I was merely following up on his post as a segue.

Well, like I said, there is no place for actual TV service in the house I'm building, so we won't have it. We'll have DSL internet service, so we'll be able to watch movies on Icefilms or Hulu, etc. when the itch hits. Other than that, I'll probably be working outside for the light hours and on my days off (whenever I finally decide to go back to work) and thus, won't need TV. I'd often rather listen to classical music than watch TV anyway, or sit outside and listen to the wind.

The wind has interesting stories to tell, if you listen.

The Wife and I just finished watching Jeremy Seifert's Dive! and it reminded me of the discussion here about throwing away totally good food. Watch it if you can.

The reason folks are going hungry is because farmers and big corporations like growing Genetically modified crap. Folks all over the world are refusing to eat it, including me. Yeah, my tummy hurts some days, but I feel a lot better when I don't eat poison. We manage to get by on what organic food we can get. Most of the "food" in a grocery store is GM corn. Even a lot of seeds for the garden are GM now. Heck, even the "meat" AKA pink slime is all corn. I better not say any more or I will end up ranting....

We plant organic seeds that are NOT GM and we also eat most critters that happen by.
