Hankook 13 inch radials - comments? LRR qualities?

Someone in my area is freecycling a pair of "barely used" (his description) 3 year old Hankook Radials: H714, P155/80R13 795.

They have a 44 psi sidewall rating and may have a solid centre tread, which could bode well for low rolling resistance (my main interest).

Think they'd be worth picking up to have on hand? I haven't done much research into the best LRR tire in the 155/80/13 size.

My OEM tires (Goodyear Invicta) still have plenty of tread, and have good LRR qualities. But if I ever lost one from an unrepairable puncture or dry rot (more likely fate, considering their age and how little I drive), I'm not sure what I'd replace them with.

Might as well pick them up. LRR is still so controversial since there is no standard testing. Does inflating tires to higher pressures decrease RR to the point at which LRR tires make next to no difference? It is possible. Plus, they're free.

Good points. Also, I could use these on the ForkenSwift... I wonder how much better they'd be (RR wise) than the snow tires that car has on it now. They could live there until I need them for the Firefly.

I'll pick 'em up.

Solid centre tread. Yay. (I really have no idea if that helps RR).

Score!

Those look very similar to the "Commuter" tires I had on my set of 13" winter alloys for my VX...too bad they had no traction in the snow.
