Talking Happy Halloween!

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy Halloween.

The only downside to trick or treating is having to idle your car and creep at 2 MPH as you wait for children going door to door for candy LOL. Can you say bump start?! YABBA DABBA DO!

Have a great evening!

-SC

I was wondering why everyone was driving 15 mph in a 35 at 5pm. There weren't any trick or treaters that early, but it didn't stop many drivers from imagining there were.

Just got to work and had to take a detour due to the road being closed. Word from security is that 5 people were hit by a car that left the roadway and entered the sidewalk. I'm hoping the people aren't seriously injured, but the 5 lane road has been closed for 7hrs.

I managed to give out 72 full-size candy bars. Target had a price mistake and I got 'em all for $10.

Nice!

Church always has "Trunk or Treat" in the parking lot, but a friend and I went to a completely unrelated event in north Phoenix, I really wondered if there was anything further north! I drove about eighty miles, so I will be filling up much sooner than I anticipated! This is the friend with the 1990 Civic. Her jaw dropped when she saw that I had almost four hundred eighty gallons on one tank and she was shocked that I did not plan on getting gas immediately.

There was terrible traffic coming back to my place. All of the college kids were out partying. She wanted to go to Chipotle because she had a coupon, but they offered a $3 discount to anyone in costume. Once we went in, she said we were going to Subway. I got her to walk because it was a short distance to the left, but I could not make a left turn.

Subway was dead.

There were crazies racing down the sidewalk on bikes and skateboards, acting like we were in the way. Bicycles are vehicles and one time I was going to school I saw one guy stopped by the police. Riding on the sidewalk, not wearing a helmet, and probably listening to an iPod.

Safe group.

Two 7-year-old girls and a 20-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries Friday when they were struck by a vehicle while trick-or-treating in east Vancouver, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

The crash occurred at about 8:20 p.m. on Northeast 112th Avenue near 39th Street in the Kevanna Park neighborhood when a Ford Mustang went out of control, jumped a curb and struck two adults and two children who were walking on the sidewalk on the east side of 112th Avenue while trick-or-treating.
