Have a GM car/truck? Find it's "birthday" here.

For all you Metro, Firefly, Cobalt, G5, etc. owners, here is a site that will
tell you what the build date of your car is, plus it lists all the options you
have and tells you how rare your car is. Just enter your VIN:

Comprehensive GM VIN Decoder

The website can be kind of confusing at first (It makes you think it hasn't done anything when it has...just need to scroll down).

Using this site and Autotrader.com to get VINs, I was able to make a table of the number of Trailblazer SSs that were built each year like below. I know no one here cares about that particular table, but thought its example might spur someone to make a similar one for, say, Geo/Chevy Metros.

Code:
Year Total AWD 2WD 3SS 1SS Black Silver White
2006 18722 12028 6694 XXXX XXXX 10102 XXXX 2868
2007 21449 12264 9185 14904 6545 10093 XXXX XXXX
2008 5769 3632 2137 4072 1697 1908 763 XXXX
2009 610 392 218 595 15 XXX XXX XXX

What message is it giving you?

I wonder if that's due to the Vibe being a shared platform with Toyota...
Of course, if that were the case, the Metro may not work either because
it's a Suzuki. Can someone with a Metro run their VIN on that site?

FWIW, I just tried out a 2009 Vibe (got the VIN from Autotrader.com) and they had data for that one. It was an early build-date (August 2008), though. I then tried a 2010 Vibe and got the same answer you got. So, it must be just that yours was built too late for them to have data yet. When did you buy it?

Very cool. I'm not even looking at the vin# part, I'm just looking at the diagrams. It's like having parts of a service manual right here.

Golly, what a great tool. Good find 5speed5! Successful results for my metro, and a huge wealth of identification info for people looking for specific types.

...tried it again today, and got success on our 2009 Vibe, but not on our 2004 Vibe.
