I'm stuck at 130 lbs and wouldn't mind gaining 10 more Lifting weights has been doing crap from me, even with the mentoring of a semi-professional workout instructor. I've pretty much given up and resigned to enjoy riding my bicycle and forgetting about my weight.

I am rewarding myself with lbs of car comforts and convinces.

So far 18 lbs lost, 12 lbs of noise killer, 3 lbs of aux input + TomTom + Ipod.

Personal Weight must be more important that total vehicle weight; right?

I've still got another 40 lbs to loose till I hit what I consider ideal 200lbs.

At my best, when I was riding my bike 40 miles per day 4-5 days per week, I was down to around 170lbs. Once I started college I started drinking and got a desk job and I got up to 220lbs, which was the heaviest I've ever been (and ever hope to be). Since starting to commute to work on my bike I've dropped down to 208lbs yesterday when I checked the scale, but I need to do a little more if I ever hope to drop back down to my target of 180lbs.

I am, erm, what you would call 'lanky'. About 6'1" and 125#. I assume that it must make a fair bit of difference, seeing as my car loses all hill-climbing ability as soon as a passenger gets in.

Are you serious?

I am 6'1" and I weigh 140 lbs. My friends have described me as "the skinniest person alive", "one step away from auschwitz", and "thinspiration". I've also been accused many times of having an eating disorder.

My weight usually follows my growth patterns. I haven't grown significantly in several years, so I have stayed about the same. I gained about 5 lbs in my first year in college, but it was because my ribs were starting to show. Sick, huh?

Man, I couldn't imagine being 125 lbs. I went through a stage in my life at the beginning of my college days where I would eat one meal every 2 to 3 days. I was in severe depression and didn't have motivation to even get out of bed. I was in that phase for about a month, and even after that I still weighed 133 lbs.

With all that said, I am still not above ecomodding myself. I am not a particularly healthy eater. When I have a snack, I always grab something that is either really sweet or really salty. I also drink a lot of Mountain Dew, which has given me some health problems in the past (I used to drink at least 3 liters of it a day). I don't drink as much of it now, but I still feel much more lethargic than when I drank only water. I also notice that I get upset stomach and indigestion more frequently than I used to.

I have also picked up smoking. I only smoke on the weekends (less than 10 cigarettes in a given week) but still every cancer stick is one closer to putting me in the grave. I just smoked up my last pack, so I can no longer say that I'm "throwing money away" by not finishing up the pack.

I certainly have no excuses. I am an Army vet., so I know how to keep in shape. Why am I 260 pounds at 5'10"? It's easy that way.

i've LOST about 20 pounds since getting married. not really sure how that happened....

it started creeping back up on me, so i started making some changes. i now walk 2-3 miles a day. yeah, i know i should be jogging/running, but i walk to relax first and for exercise second. got a bike i'm fixing up, and looking for another for my wife, so we can go to the parks and ride. (i live on a gravel road and own a road bike, that doesn't go together very well.) pretty much gave up on soda, except for the occasional diet dr pepper.

breakfast is a cup of coffee and either fruit, granola bar, or cereal/oatmeal.

started taking my lunch to work again. to keep some variety, i either have a PB & J or turkey and cheese sandwich, or a "lean" pocket, or a healthy choice. add to that either some fresh or dried fruit, and thats a pretty filling lunch for me.

i've found the key to eating healthy is to keep a variety of healthy food in the house. i get bored with eating the same breakfast/lunch every day, and that tempts me to get some fast food lunch instead.

6'1" @ 125?! At 6' and 150 I thought I was skinny... I haven't been 125 since 8th grade (where I was described as an albino Ethiopian). Go eat something and pick up a heavy object! Now repeat! Gad zooks...

Triathlon season ended on Sunday for me so now on to weight lifting and half marathons... I promised my fiance I'd get my arms, back, and chest back ;-)
