Well, thought I'd become a nudist. It didn't work so well so I shaved my head and added a loin cloth to improve ground effects.

In November 04 after meeting my wife, I decided to make some major healthier lifestyle changes. At the time I was 5'9 and 222 lbs... a tank to say the least.

A year later I was down to 190 lbs, by making a few simple changes:

No junk food
No pop
No alcohol
No greasy fast food (mostly Subway or Pita's if necessary)
Only whole wheat bread

Now, nearly 4 years later and the weight is still off, I fluctuate from 175-185 depending on my activity levels. I feel way better playing sports and enjoy the compliments I get from people that have not seen me since I lost the weight.

I will try and dig some pictures for the before and after.

5'9 165lbs... far from my wrestling weight in high school (130) but at least I am not green anymore.

There is a site out there called gym journal for anyone who is interested. My user name is the same on this one as well as that one.

My routine is run 3 times a week for 3 miles, lift weight 3 times a week and go surfing or mountain biking on the 7th day. I usually have about a 50% success rate at keeping to that.

I've been in shape for my entire life (im only 21 so...)

I was a competitive gymnast from the time I was 12 untill about 17 years old. I've always been short, im only 5' 5" now, however i've always had alot of muscle mass, and I never really had to watch my weight.

My freshman year of college i weighed 135 pounds.

finishing up my junior year I weighed myself when i got home in the summer... 175 WTF!?!

I've cut out soda and almost all sugar. Eating better in general. I've been trying to work out 5 days a week, minimum 3 mile run or equivalent cardio workout. I'm down to 160 now. I want to get down to 145. Eventually I want to continue training and become a freerunner. continuously working toward that goal, long way to go though.

if you dont know what freerunning/parkour is check out American Parkour - Parkour and Freerunning

Trust Me I've always wished I was a bit bulkier. I'm a farmer, and if I were to do more physical activity, it'd just mean that I would need to eat even more food... I would guess that I'm between three and four thousand calories a day as it is....

Shawn D. -

I am 5'4", and after High School I think I weighed in the neighborhood of 125 lbs. At age 42 I weigh about 132 lbs. I would rather be sub 130 lbs, but I'm too busy-lazy to do the work.

I think I was raised to watch my weight since my Dad is a diabetic. Because of that, we always had bland low-calorie food around. As a result, I think I have an aversion to "heavy sugar" foods and I don't really get into the culinary delights (or maybe it's a Calvinistic thing on my part, who knows). If I do "social eating" one day, I usually fast/diet the next. I'm not a health food nut by any means, but I also don't eat much, especially in the context of my sedentary programming job.
