Hello from Albany!

So, I enjoy working on cars and bought a new civic last year (yes I have a typo in my name it's actually an '07). I contemplated putting performance parts on it but I can't justify killing my gas mileage to gain a few horsepower so I've decided to go the other way with gas costing around $4.15 in the Albany, NY area.

I am ordering a scangauge 2 to get some baseline measurements the only change is a k&n air filter from stock (and new tires cause my stock ones were toast at 23k miles). Once I get some baseline measurements with normal (aggressive) driving and some more eco friendly driving I plan to do rear wheel skirts, cover some of the dumb holes in the front bumper, warm air intake, whatever weight reduction I can find and putting on some underpans. I don't want to do anything TOO crazy like a boattail. But if I can make some stylish (I plan on getting any mods painted to match the car) I will upload photo's as I go incase anyone is interested in modding a new civic as opposed to an older generation.

Welcome to the site. The Civic is a great car for mileage so you should be in for a real treat.

If you could that'd be great :-). Any ideas on a material that is good for painting after it has been formed? I would like something that will take the factory paint and have a nice finish afterward.

A skim coat of fiberglass polyester or epoxy resin can be painted (eg. for rear wheel skirts). Welcome to the forum.
