Hello fra Denmark - Europe

Hi all
What a great place....

I've just traded in my 2003 RAV4 for a 2000 1,0 3 door Toyota Yaris with only 73.000 km on the counter.

Now its all about getting the best economy out of this lovely little car, and this forum has allready provided me with lots of inspiration.....

Ecomodding is not yet common i Europe, or my country Denmark for that matter, but I belive it's gonna grow in the coming years.

Here it's hars winter for the moment, frezing and lots of snow, so a lot of short trips and winter tyres are doing no good.

I'm going to make a build thread one of theses days, as I plan to do some modding on the car.

Best wishes to all of you

Welcome to the site Jyden. I'd love to get my hands on a 1.0L engine! You're quite lucky and I'm sure the Yaris is good for some pretty amazing mileage.

Welcome to EM! Very cool little Yaris. We never had that version in the USA. We had the sedan version and it was called the Echo. We do have the 2nd gen Yaris now.

It's the same think Vitz, Echo, Yaris, different names for different markets. Here in Cyprus , oddly enough, some are "Vitz" , some are "Yaris" depending where they get imported from EU or JP

1,0 L engines

Could propably bee pick up cheaply from UK scrap yards at next to nothing. Especially 1. generation 4 cylinders enegines, which are the one to go for.

According to the Toyota guys I know, the new 3 cylinder version is not nearly as good as the old 4 cylinder VVTI version which have been seen to go 300.000 + km before waring out.
