help attaching wheel skirts

The inside of the my car's rear wheel wells are plastic so I just put some screws through it to attach the coroplast wheel skirts I made. But the front inside of the wells are metal, can't screw through that haha. However, there is like a tab where the outside metal of the car bends inward to a 90* angle, where the blue part is in the picture.

I'm thinking I could use a strong but small clamp to attach the coroplast there, would it be secure enough though? I guess like a C clamp that can lock.

So close to being able to put wheel skirts on my car! This is one of the last things I need to do
