Corrado DZSL SLC - '92 Corrado SLC
Last 3: 52.48 mpg (US)
Hey There...I can't drive a standard car for fuel economy

I have to build something funky, I'm a Corrado eco-modder in that I've built two TDI Corrados and I can't think about what else I will drop a TDI into. I'm currently dreaming of a Diesel 4dr Tacoma

Here is a little about my first Corrado TDI (DZSL SLC)

It has all of the typical TDI Mods (chip, injectors, turbo, 5th gear mod and so on)

then there is my current TDI which is in daily driver status:

Cool I've only thought about a tdi corrado, or scirocco, or porsche. The Corrado is definitely a unique ride.

A TDI Taco would be sweet or a TDI Porsche

Welcome to the site. I think your idea of a dirty engine bay is my idea of a clean one! Nice work.

Impressive work!

You know you're at a performance oriented site when they list comprehensive specs on the project ... everything EXCEPT fuel economy figures.

Got any numbers to share?

PS: from the thread title, I thought this was going to about someone looking for advice on how to drive a manual transmission to save fuel.

Corrado DZSL SLC - '92 Corrado SLC
Last 3: 52.48 mpg (US)
The DZSL SLC always gets better then 47mpg during regular driving and can get 55+ when I stay out of the boost. I really enjoy driving I95 at a fast pace and getting 50-52 while getting 900+ miles per tank. I don't think the maazine guy belived me when I told him what I had gotten for mileage. But it really does get suberb mileage and fun factor performance.

The other TDI Corrado is averaging 45mpg during my regular driving and has not seen much I95 traffic. It has a smaller tank so I won't be seeing any 900-1,000 tanks

The engines are from different generation TDIs so the technology is different and thus get different mileage estimates.
