HI-DE-HO Good neighbors

Hi all,

Just signed up. Been watching all the way back to Darin's MetroMPG site. Good stuff. I have a lot of crossover interests here. I already have an electric bike. Just bought a recumbent that I will make electric and give it a full aero shell. Wanted to build an electric motorcycle but the motor I want(PMLflghtlink) is still selling for about $20,000. Little high yet.

Oh yeah, gas vehicles. Have an '03 Taurus and an '01 Ranger. Methinks Fords don't like the ScanGauge. Brand new and can't get it to talk to either one. However a new replacement is on the way. No mods done yet, but for the truck I'll be running along the lines of Phil Knox's great mods.

Nice to be here,
JJ

Hi JJ -

Whenever I see a Simpson's reference in a fuel economy discussion, I can't help but think of the Flanders' poor little Metro...

(About to be pursued by the "Homernator"...)
Maude: "Come on, Ned! Move this thing!"
Ned: "I can't! It's a Geo!"

Anyway, welcome to the site! Sounds like you'll fit right in.

Let us know what you learn from Linear Logic about the ScanGauge not talking to your Fords. It'll probably come up with someone else, and may be helpful for future reference.
