Talking Hi everyone! Infiniti G20 owner here looking to improve my MPG!

Hi everyone, I'm Zee and I drive a '99 Infiniti G20 (Nissan Primera). Ever since I got a B15 Nissan Sentra SE, I've loved the SR20DE engine.

As a college student (undergrad in physics), I really need to save some money on my twenty-six mile (mostly highway) one-way commute.

I was curious about whether folding your side mirrors improves fuel economy, so I did a search on Bing and landed here!

Anyway, I should fill out my fuel log and browse around!

Here are some pics of my Autumn Bronze 1999 Infiniti G20:

I hope you found the answer to your question about the mirrors.

I have to ask: how often do you slide back your moon roof? Removing that deflector would probably have a measurable effect on fuel economy. It affects MPG nearly 100% of the time, but probably only gets used a small fraction of the time.

Welcome to EM!

I slide back the moon roof during city driving quite a bit as well as overcast days on the highway.

I practiced driving with my mirrors folded in on my way back from school (twenty-six miles), and I didn't feel too comfortable about it.

However, I have pumped up my tires and have been driving (at most) ~+5 above the speed limit. Will fill up at the end of the week!
