Hi! I'm a "Newbie" here!

Hi! I'm glad to be here! I goofed and lost an hrs worth of typing here somehow, so my patience right now means a vastly reduced message. I have been a mpg driver for yrs now. 116mpg small motorcycles, past 49mpg's w orig. Ford Fiesta and '77B210 fastback. Experience w '82 VW Quantum Diesel wagon 53-57mpg on trips w one time record of 72ish mpg. Current '87 CRX w 50-57mpg on most trips... 4 times 62 w best of 62.9 so far. Just picked up '75 Chev. Monza 5spd. w Isuzu Diesel. Finding older posts accidently, yesterday; I can see my seat of pants experience is rookie level w you guys, but I'm eager to learn more! Its nice to know I'm not the only one who pushes for more mpg. You know the roll their eyes look most people give anybody that's different! Here's my current family list: '87 CRX, '85 6.2 D Suburban K10 4X4 w smaller street tires for lower stance... I know high 20's mpg are freeway possible for this tow rig. '75 Monza fastback just bought.. needs final sortout before a daily driver.... '84 VW Quantum wagon waiting for diesel transplant... '72 basket case Honda AZ600 Coupe for a future downsized look of other cars like muscle, pony ones, a baby '55 Chevy? Motorcycles include... 2 '83 Honda Silverwing 673cc full dressers (one has electrical issues) shaft w watercooled Vtwin 50-64 mpg... '81 CB 400 Honda 6spd. tired but reliable.. 50-68ishmpg.. low 70's w earlier owned same bike when new.. '78 Kawasaki KL 250 Dual/Sport 100-116mpg. Ilook forward to meeting new friends here. Aloha for now!

Larry looks like this site is right down your alley. In high school I had a 76 Monza 2+2 Fastback. Kept it 10 years and 100,000 of my own miles. Lately for some odd reason I keep thinking about that old car. They did have a nice slippery shape. well at least a slippery looking shape. LOL. Oh Ya I almost forgot Welcome.

Welcome to ecomodder.

You're obviously not a newbie when it comes to hypermiling

When typing anything big on ecomodder and some other forums, I tend to select all text and copy it before hitting "send".

It has saved the day a few times.
